MercuryMover v1.1.3 is Out

Where Keith makes some progress and then some progress

After a lot of very productive back and forth with a user, i was able to track down a longstanding bug which prevented MercuryMover from properly moving or resizing windows to the bottom edge of a second display when the display was smaller than the primary display and the two displays lined up at their bottom edge. This may seem like an edge case, but if you're the one with this type of configuration (say a powerbook with that old 15" display hooked up just for itunes), then it would be pretty annoying!

You can get the new release here.

Don't know what MercuryMover is? MercuryMover is like a power-up enabling you to move and resize the windows on your Mac with your keyboard! Seeing is believing so check out our screen movie.

What could be better than getting a new bug-fix release out? How about progress on your next major release! Although it took place almost entirely after my bedtime, i made more progress on MercuryMover v2.0 tonight than i have in the past month. My goal is to simultaneously announce version 2.0 and release a public beta at the end of June. Watch here and keep me honest.

Re: MercuryMover v1.1.3 is Out

Hi. Mercury Mover v1.1.3 is fantastic. I'm looking forward to version 2.0.

With so many Windows users switching to Mac, one common complaint is the lack of a maximize button or keyboard shortcut to maximize a window. I think you would do well to highlight the fact that Mercury Mover is capable of maximizing windows.

Internet blogs and forums are full of discussions like the following:

Also, I would love to see the ability to assign maximizing and centering of windows directly to a keyboard shortcut so that I could maximize a window without first enabling Mercury Mover.

Thanks for building a great app!

Re: MercuryMover v1.1.3 is Out

Elgorf, thank you for the praise! Being able to assign favorites to specific shortcuts is on our radar but is definitely not going to make it into v2.0 . Look for it in a subsequent release. Which release? Well, that depends on my users. Dear reader, if this is a feature that you want, please leave a comment here.
